About InnoSyn

InnoSyn is an SME that primarily focusses on R&D towards the development of (bio)chemical production processes for third parties worldwide. InnoSyn currently has approximately 50 employees and is located at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen, The Netherlands. The company has a new pilot plant at its disposal. Although InnoSyn was founded only 5 years ago, it has a long and impressive track record in the area of development and implementation of industrial manufacturing processes that was built up over more than 40 years

The Challenge

Within InnoSyn, low-cost and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes are developed for customers that are active in a broad range of fields like pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, dyes, flavor and fragrances, monomers for high performance materials and products based on renewable raw materials. In order to perform the various projects, InnoSyn is looking for a research chemist in the field of chemocatalysis with hands-on experience in catalyst screening and optimization, and affinity with high throughput experimentation and analysis.

In case of mutual satisfaction, a permanent contract will be considered.

What we ask  

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in (homogeneous) catalysis and optionally have up to 3 years of (industrial) experience.
  • You have good experimental skills (preferably including working with air- and moisture-sensitive materials in gloveboxes and/or Schlenk techniques, analytical techniques such as GC/HPLC, NMR) and are motivated to translate chemical concepts into practical and scalable solutions.
  • Experience with high throughput experimentation is a plus.
  • You have a strong drive to succeed and are willing to go the extra mile. You can both work independently as well as operate in a team.
  • You have a high quality standard and therefore produce reliable results which you can report both verbally and in writing (in English).
  • You have a conscious safety attitude.
